The Upper Skagit Valley

offers just about everything a resident or a tourist could desire. Opportunities for fishing, hiking, birding, hunting, canoeing, white watering, and many other activities abound. In the spring and summer we have hundreds of beautiful flowers, in the fall there are more flowers and the many colors of autumn. In the winter, from mid-Decemberto mid-January we have 300-500 bald eagles that come here to feed on spawned-out chum salmon along the banks of the Skagit River. The people of our towns of Concrete, Rockport, Marblemount, and Newhalem welcome you as friends and offer lodging, dining, shopping, and personal advice about where to go and what to do , to help you enjoy your visit to the Upper Skagit Valley .
